MIEN TREATS is a cake and pastry business in Lagos, Nigeria. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use our website at mientreats.com.
What our order form does
You don’t need an account to use this website. If you place an order, the form asks for details such as your name, what you would like, the date you need it, whether you want pickup or delivery (and your delivery area, if you choose delivery), and any notes you add.
This website does not store those details on a server. The form turns your answers into a WhatsApp message on your own phone or computer. We only receive it if you press send in WhatsApp. When you do, we see your name, your WhatsApp number and your order details.
How we use your information
- To reply to your order and bring it to life.
- To prepare, pick up or deliver your order.
- To keep the records a small business needs.
We do not sell your information or use it to send you anything unrelated to your order.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not set cookies of its own. It keeps one small note in your browser for as long as the tab is open, so the opening animation plays in full only the first time you visit.
If we switch on Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they use, we will ask your permission first and will only load it if you say yes. You can decline and still use the whole website.
Other services involved
- WhatsApp carries your order message. Its own terms and privacy policy apply to messages you send.
- Google Fonts supplies the website’s typefaces, so your browser contacts Google to load them.
- Cloudflare’s cdnjs supplies a 3D library used on our Gallery page.
- Our website host may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested.
- Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp links take you to those services, which have their own policies.
How long we keep your information
We keep order messages for as long as we need them to serve you and to keep our business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
Under Nigerian data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. To make a request, message us and we will respond as soon as we can.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the website works, we will update this page and its date.
